Netfabb (https://www.autodesk.com/products/netfabb/overview)
Netfabb is an additive manufacturing software within Autodesk's Manufacturing Solutions. It has tools that help streamline the additive workflow and quickly get from a 3D model to successfully printed parts. Netfabb is trying to address the inherent difficulties of metal additive manufacturing, and provide users with features and workflows
which are industry and application specific.
I worked within the Digital Manufacturing Group, apart of the 3d printing technologies and applications team. We conducted UX research and workflow analysis for metal additive manufacturing. My focus was primarily on UX design, and research for Netfabb 2017, and more boradly on the additive manufacturing industries future applications and value opportunities.
