Discounted Histories is an exhibition that explores the movement of goods, services, and ideas that form Toronto’s retail landscape. From specialized artisans to mass production to mail-order catalogues to online shopping, Discounted Histories reassesses part of Toronto’s existing historical narrative by bringing to light overlooked, unseen, and forgotten histories.

Somewherelse created all of the custom plinths and displays for the exhibition, transforming the Toronto Media Arts Center (TMAC) into a curated exhibit, with museum quality displays.
